Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Yoshimasa Hayashi Inspects Our Foundation’s AI Imaging Diagnosis Demonstration (Hanoi Post and Telecommunication Hospital, Vietnam)
On January 15th, Minister Hayashi inspected the AI imaging diagnosis demonstration that our Foundation is conducting with LPIXEL Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT IT) at Hanoi Post and Telecommunication Hospital.
At the beginning, the Minister expressed his gratitude for the advanced use of AI in Vietnam, which is still only halfway to being widespread in Japan, and gave the following remarks in his greeting:
- AI can improve the quality and efficiency of medical care.
- This will lead to more sophisticated diagnoses, reduce the burden on doctors, and contribute to solving the shortage of doctors in rural areas and improving access to medical services.
- I hope that this demonstration at the hospital will be a successful example of cooperation with Vietnam. I also hope that it will become an advanced case study for the entire ASEAN region.
