Greetings from the Chairman

Chairman’s Greeting

Our foundation was established in 1978 as a foundation under the involvement of the government, with the efforts of the telecommunications and broadcasting industry and the financial world. In April 2012, it transitioned to a general incorporated foundation, and has been engaged in international cooperation activities for about 40 years.
JTEC’s mission is to contribute to the development of the ICT field in developing countries, the promotion of international mutual understanding, and the development of Japan’s information and communication industry. Along with public interest activities such as research and development, training and human resource development in the ICT field in developing countries, we are also engaged in consulting services for ICT-related development projects and support for the overseas expansion of Japanese companies.
In recent years, information and communication technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G, and Beyond 5G have developed remarkably. By making maximum use of the potential of ICT, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive global society that “leaves no one behind,” such as solving global issues represented by the SDGs, developing developing countries, and solving various social issues.
JTEC will continue to strive to meet the various expectations of the developing countries and the Japanese information and communication industry.
