Overview of Projects and Activities
JTEC is involved in supporting the development of social infrastructure, including the development of communication and broadcasting infrastructure that leads to the progress of developing countries, the construction of e-governments, the development of disaster prevention communication systems, and the utilization of ICT in medical care and education. We also provide international cooperation and human resource development support through various projects and activities. To date, we have worked with governments and government-related organizations, telecommunications carriers, and broadcasters in more than 80 countries around the world.
1. Consulting on the planning, construction, etc. of communication equipment in overseas countries
We participate in actual communication network development projects and provide consulting services related to local surveys, planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of communication services.
2. Research and studies on telecommunications in overseas countries
We conduct surveys on the development of communication networks in overseas countries and compile proposals and plans. This survey includes preliminary surveys (F/S) for communication network development, master plan development surveys, and surveys related to project discovery and formation for future communication network development. Furthermore, we conduct research and studies on communication markets and communication network environment development in developing countries, and international joint research on ICT utilization.
3. Dispatch of communication and broadcasting experts, training, and human resource development
We dispatch experts with extensive experience in communication technology, operation, etc. to overseas countries to cooperate with local government agencies and related companies in conducting surveys and providing guidance.
We also cooperate in planning and arranging training for officials from government agencies and related companies in overseas countries, and accepting trainees.
4. Support for the international expansion of Japan’s information and communication industry
We support the international expansion of the information and communication industry by promoting the utilization of Japan’s ICT technology to contribute to the development of overseas countries. We also provide support activities for the international expansion of individual companies from an intermediary standpoint.
5. International exchange and public relations activities
We introduce Japan’s communication situation at forums and seminars held in overseas countries, and at opportunities to visit government agencies and companies in overseas countries, to promote international mutual understanding. We also hold study groups and lectures on the communication situation in overseas countries in Japan.
In addition, in order to introduce JTEC’s business activities, we issue public relations magazines and disseminate information through our website, email newsletters, etc.
