We exhibited at the TICAD9 Business Expo and Conference. (Pacifico Yokohama, 3 days from August 20 to 22, 2025)
JTEC participated in the Japan Fair at the TICAD Business Expo & Conference, held in Yokohama as one of the co-located events of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9). We introduced the “Solution for Effective Disaster Alert Transmission,” which JTEC developed for developing countries and is currently being demonstrated in Central and South America, through panel displays, videos, digital signage, and more.On the day of the event, many people from African countries and Japanese company representatives engaged in business in Africa visited our booth, and we received high interest and evaluation for this solution. We were also able to have a meaningful exchange of opinions toward future applications and practical development in various African countries.

Exhibition panel: Disaster prevention ICT solution through communication and broadcasting cooperation for developing countries
In recent years, natural disasters have been increasing worldwide, and the introduction of disaster prevention systems that transmit emergency information to the general public has become an important issue, especially in developing countries. Based on many years of local needs surveys, JTEC has been promoting solutions that link communication and broadcasting and has been working to support their introduction to local areas.
We have developed a prototype of a system that incorporates CAP/EDXL-DE, the world standard format for disaster information transmission, and have successfully implemented it in a local national broadcasting station in Central America. We are considering expanding to Asia and Africa in the future.
JTEC will continue to contribute to disaster prevention and mitigation in developing countries.
