JTEC also exhibited a booth at the Ministerial Meeting hosted by the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT). (Tokyo, May 29-31, 2025)
JTEC set up an exhibition booth in the lobby area of the venue (Tokyo Hilton Hotel) where the APT Ministerial Meeting (organized by APT/hosted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) was held. JTEC introduced the “Effective Disaster Alert Transmission Solution,” which is being demonstrated in some Central American countries, through panel displays, videos, and demonstration equipment. We exchanged opinions on the current situation and challenges with participants from various countries in the Asia-Pacific island region.
On the day, executive-level participants such as deputy ministers and directors-general from ASEAN countries such as Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, as well as countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Mongolia, and Iran, and Pacific island countries such as Tonga and Tuvalu, visited our booth. We were able to hear about the current situation of being troubled by the threat of natural disasters and their high expectations for early warning solutions. In addition, the Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau from the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) also stopped by our booth.
