In October 2020, a workshop on ASEAN Disaster Prevention Notification System was held in Lao PDR. In discussions on the ideal form of a disaster prevention notification system, which includes the Department of Information and Communications in ASEAN countries by Lao PDR, we introduced a conceptual example of the Japanese L alert system. The L Alert is a disaster information infrastructure that delivers information from local public entities, lifeline operators, etc. to local residents through a variety of media as a quick and efficient means of communicating information in the event of a disaster. The following figure shows a reference. As a disaster information infrastructure, we collected information from a variety of sources and pursued its utility as a common foundation that can provide information to provinces, local governments, and citizens. In addition, discussions on the standardization of data to be handled in disaster prevention information have progressed.
