JTEC implemented "Training on Disaster Management and Climate Change Monitoring with Efficient deployment of Radio spectrum in Pacific Island Nations" between 31st October and 2nd November 2023 at University of South Pacific in Fiji under contract from Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT).

 

Eight (8) trainees from the ICT or Disaster management organizations of the member countries of APT participated in this training.

 

 

During this training, JTEC and trainees of the Kingdom of Tonga introduced about the outlines of the Nationwide Early Warning System Project (“NEWS” in short) in Tonga funded by the Government of Japan which completed in 2022.
