“Solving Social Issues and Supporting Overseas Expansion Through AI and ICT”
~ The Cutting Edge of AI Applications in Healthcare, Agriculture, and Disaster Prevention ~ - Purpose of the Event
AI technology is rapidly gaining widespread adoption as a foundational technology that supports the advancement of government, industry, and social services through operational efficiency, data analysis, and automation. In developing countries in particular, challenges such as a shortage of healthcare personnel, low agricultural productivity, and the need to visualize disasters and crises persist, and digital solutions incorporating AI technology are attracting attention as potential solutions to these issues.
Specifically, AI-powered services—such as diagnostic support and telemedicine in healthcare, productivity improvements in agriculture, and the visualization of crisis information for disaster prevention—are spreading across various fields as a means of addressing social issues, and expectations for their adoption are growing even in developing countries.
In this lecture, we will present the latest case studies of AI applications in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, and disaster prevention, as well as introduce JTEC’s initiatives to promote the use of digital technology in developing countries.
